How to make a curved gabion bench.

Gabion baskets are always rectangular, however you can make a curved gabion effect.

There are 2 ways to do this. You can remove a side panel from the gabions and sit the baskets within each other, relacing the gabion baskets to the angle that suits. Or you can line the baskets up at the front and angle the baskets away from each other. This leaves triangular gaps. Insert an extra piece of mesh in here.

The narrower the gabion that you use the better the curved effect. We would normally recommend half meter cube baskets. If these gabion baskets are too tall we can cut them down to the nearest full mesh size. To attach the Timber top, the simplest fixest method is to insert a piece of timber under the lid of the gabion. You can screw down to clamp the gabion mesh between the timber seat and the timber underneath the lid.
